Russ & Heidi Smith - Santiago, Chile

It has been more than 25 years since Russ and Heidi arrived in Chile. Over the years they have worked in various locations throughout Chile. On April 1st, 2012 they began serving at "El Salvador" Church in the Santiago borough of San Joaquin. Russ serves as a minister of the church and Heidi teaches at Santiago Christian Academy and is involved in the Children's Ministry at El Salvador.

Ronald Kogo - Nakuru, Kenya

Ronald Kogo and his family serve at Crosspoint Bible Church (formerly known as Covenant Baptist), which is a church plant of Emmanuel Baptist Church. We are located in Nakuru city which is known for its rich agricultural climate within the Rift Valley. For the past four years, Crosspoint Bible Church has been passionate about sharing the gospel and serving the community through various outreach efforts. From a core group of about 20 people, the church now has over eighty adults regularly attending each Sunday with many children and a membership of fifty-two.

Our members have also been very active in ministry in a local rehab center to care for the addicts and they regularly visit nearby primary schools on a weekly basis to share the gospel to children and to help instruct those who have made a profession of faith.

As a church, we also founded the Agano Theological School in 2019 for the purpose of training pastors and lay leaders for faithful gospel ministry here in Nakuru. We also run an eight months Entrust internship that is geared towards equipping young people for gospel ministry. We thank God for enabling us to run this program now for the third cohort.

Additionally, we also run VBS every school holiday and we also host annual Pastors’ conference (dubbed, ‘Solemn Charge Conference’), Youth conferences, seminars for ladies and couples, workshops for pastors and other gospel workers.

We also thank God for opening doors for us as a church to train, equip and encourage pastors in Western Kenya and some parts of Uganda.

David & Mary Beth Alenskis - Beliz

David and Mary Beth met at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection (San Marcos), their home church. They both were in a time of growth and transition. David transitioned from being a seminarian to being a priest, to being a missionary, while Mary Beth graduated from high school, started university, and then became the church accompanist. Over the years they pastor-and-parishioner to long-distance-friends, to not-so-much-friends, to more then friends. Now they are married!

David and Mary Beth Alenskis are sent from Anglican Church of the Resurrection in California and serve together in Belize. The church in Belize needs more thoroughly-trained leaders who are willing to serve inside and outside of the church in pioneering ways, to announce the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to embody his excessive and supernatural love for sinners. David has been called to serve as the Priest-in-Charge (Senior Pastor) of St. Andrew’s and St. Hilda’s churches and as chaplain for St. Andrew’s, St. Barnabas’, and St. Hilda’s schools. Mary Beth is using her

passion and gift for music as well as her heart for serving others to reach those in the church and schools. As SAMS missionaries, David and Mary Beth are dedicated both to serving as leaders for Anglican churches and schools in Belize, and also to training up new leaders who will continue to grow and deepen the Body of Christ.
