Discipleship Groups
The Christian life was never meant to be lived out alone. It is a life lived out in community with other believers who encourage and build up one another. At Christ’s Church we encourage everyone to become a part of small group centered on God’s word where transparent relationships and mutual accountability are fostered. These groups help accelerate our growth and maturity as disciples of Jesus.

Prayer Groups
Prayer is lifting our hearts to God, our Father and creator, in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In prayer we commune with God, through our praise, thanksgiving and petitions. When we pray in community with others, Jesus promises to be present among us, so it can be a powerful and intimate time of fellowship (Matt. 18:20). At Christ’s Church we believe that prayer is an essential part of what we do as disciples of Jesus. Weekly prayer groups give us a chance to pray as a community for our own needs as well as the needs of the church. All are encouraged to be a part of one of our current prayers groups or to start one of their own.

Baptism
Baptism is a sign of our new life in Christ. It is not a means of salvation but a sacrament that signifies our rebirth in Christ through which we identify with his death and resurrection. In baptism, faith is confirmed and grace increased in order to live out our new life faithfully. From a human perspective, baptism is an act of obedience that affirms our conscious decision to place ourselves under the lordship of Christ. We undertake baptism in faith and through it God increases our faith. At the same time, baptism marks our initiation into the body of Christ. We literally become joined with believers into Christ’s one universal body.
If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, we encourage you to be baptized. You will need to take the Introduction to Baptism class before you can be baptized. Look for announcements about baptism throughout the year.
Membership
After you have attended Christ’s Church for a while and have gotten to know us, you may want to consider becoming a member. Membership to our church is an important step in the journey of faith. It is s a recognition that we connected to others in the body of Christ and accountable to one another. Ultimately the overarching destiny of all disciples of Christ is found in God’s purposes and plans for the church.
You can become a member of Christ’s Church by
- Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior & Lord and be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Completing the Introduction to Christ’s Church course
