On Sunday mornings our area comes alive with the sounds and sights of kids and adults eager to reconnect with each other and connect with God!
The day begins by reconnecting as kids come together for a time of crafts/coloring/games and chatting with each other and their teachers. Then we all come together for a time of large group worship and praise (and we really raise the roof up here!). We then listen as our leader for the day introduces what we will be learning about. Sometimes we may observe an illusionist, sometimes a real mess is made, sometimes we might have special guests, puppets, or a video … you just never know what is going to happen. One thing is for sure though … it will be fun!

After we have had our time together, we talk, read from the Bible, and pray together, all with the focus of making and forming strong relationships. We believe a great program sets the stage and atmosphere for a chance to form meaningful relationships.

By the end of sixth grade we want our children to be able to:

  • Identify all the books of the Old Testament and all the books of the New Testament.
  • Pronounce most of the names of Bible people, places, and things
  • Locate all the books of the Bible in a limited time frame.
  • Tell others the meaning of a verse or passage in the Bible.
  • Quote up to seventy-five individual Bible verses.
  • Memorize God’s plan of salvation and know how to use the Bible to tell someone about God and Jesus.
  • Establish the discipline of daily Bible reading
  • Apply biblical principles to personal and social issues
